Hi and I realize that it is Tuesday of the mid term elections. Hope you voted or plan to vote. I want to encourage everyone to be faithful and not fearful!! I believe that God is in control and I pray that we can learn to appreciate, listen to and learn from both sides. Let’s bring dignity, respect and civility back and set a good example for our young people. I hope you had a great weekend!! Mine was crazy and I had only 2 days to work last week after being out of town. I am trying to find a senior living facility in Dallas for my mom and we were visiting last Thursday and Friday. We even went to happy hour and had a fun time watching “young at heart” seniors dancing. We really never change on the inside do we? I wonder if my flowers will ever get planted and will my closet ever get transferred from summer to fall. Oh well……
Blouses with Ruffles and Lace
There are lots of trends this season and one I have noticed is a return to the Victorian high collar blouses which are very feminine. It is kind of throw back to both romantic western and the Victorian era. The blouse I am wearing is by Kate Spade and it has so much detailing including lace and ruffles and the yoke neck. This will make you feel really girly and adds a great print to your wardrobe as well. I like that it is sleeveless because it is less bulky under a jacket and if it’s warm your can look chic without your jacket.
Having some versatile pieces in your wardrobe that will pull everything together like this print blouse really helps when getting dressed. This blouse could go for the office, lunch or be dressed up for date night and cocktails. The romantic feel is perfect to soften a structured blazer or leather jacket. Bright colors with black are fun for fall.
This is a hasty post and I promise to do better. I just wanted to share this pretty blouse and give you some ideas for putting together your fall wardrobe. Brighten up your black with a cute print. Thanks for reading and hope you have a great week. XO Debby
PS Whatever happened to these words our moms taught us “If you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say it.” ? Food for thought ……..
