I haven’t even finished with Christmas yet and it’s already time to shine on New Year’s Eve. That means I need to come up with some great ideas for you to wear out on the town or at home for a party. This year is all about sparkle and shine and everything shimmers or glitters. It is a fun season to step out of your comfort zone and try a little something glitzy!! Think sequins, satin, gold and silver and every color that can shimmer.
RING IN THE NEW YEAR WITH GLITZ AND GLAM
Now I have to confess that this is not an expensive outfit. The pants I found last minute (like 5:00) on New Year’s Eve a couple of years ago along with this glitzy dress. I was determined to dress up to go to a fancy party that year. I never wore the sequin pants so I found a top (actually body suit) at Zara that fits the trend of glamour and all things that glitter. This is the most comfortable body suit I have ever owned, by the way. Also bought it in solid sparkle because I was walking by a very expensive blouse in Nordstrom and decided why not check out Zara. I have to say it still adds up if you get carried away!!$$
This is not an expensive outfit and goes to show you can look like a million dollars without spending it. You know I am obsessed with these Charlotte Max box clutches and do think they are worth the money because they are timeless copies of vintage originals. My tassel earring are from China Town in NYC and so cheap. Once again you can see why bloggers wear sunglasses!! (I thought it would look stupid to wear sunglasses to a New Year’s Eve party!!) And shooting on a very humid day is not a good hair day for me. Yuk!
REMEMBER ALMOST EVERYTHING IS ON SALE
I hope you and your families have the most amazing Christmas filled with God’s richest blessings. We are so happy to have our 3 girls (plus Princess Sloan) home for the holidays but will be missing the boys and their wives and of course Hunter. Christmas sure is more fun when seen through the innocent eyes of a child. I still believe in Santa Claus but I never forget the true meaning of Christmas and the Reason for the Season!! Enjoy every bit of Christmas, take some time to rest a little, then get ready to celebrate the incoming of a New Year. I am always ready for a fresh start!! XO Debby
