Shopping My Closet – Summer Whites

shopping my closet - summer whites for August heat

Happy Wednesday and hope you had an amazing weekend. I have put off writing lately and am so behind I am still writing about white. But it’s still summer here in Texas and we will be wearing white for a while. Plus there is always the possibility that you will take a beach or warm weather vacay and need some ideas.  I came up with this idea “shopping my closet – summer whites” because I have so many clothes that I pass over and hardly ever wear. I buy mainly pretty classic and basic pieces that do not go out of style quickly and therefore I tend to hang onto them. For example, why would I replace my basic white shorts or white t-shirt if they still fit and aren’t outdated. Pleats may come and go but a flat front pant or short is more flattering and easy to wear. (I’m not hating on pleats but they do kind of call attention to your stomach area – my worst part)

SHOPPING MY CLOSET – SUMMER WHITES

I kind of had fun going into my closet and putting together some outfits I haven’t put together ever (or lately). I have added some recent purchase like a new Sam Edelman sandal and J.McLaughlin sweater. This is the perfect travel outfit and great for running errands or out to casual dinner. Love having a sweater you can pop on if the restaurant or store is chilly. I bought this clear and white bag on impulse one day as I was walking out of Nordstrom and have carried it all summer. Of course it sold out quickly but I have a similar bag here.

Well this is the shortest post I’ve ever written!! I am babysitting Sloan and this morning I totally forgot that I had to finish and post by 9:00. So here it is, short and sweet. And the best news ever, it’s raining this morning. Woohoo. Have a great rest of your week. Thanks for taking time to read my blog. XO Debby
