Happy Monday!! I hope you had a great weekend and are enjoying the first part of summer. I was down with some virus last week that really kicked my bootie!! All I wanted to do was sleep. The worst part was not being able to see baby Sloan!! I am trying to catch up today and realize that I never did my Father’s Day Shopping Guide. Well, it may have to wait until next year unless I pull a rabbit out of the hat quickly. I wanted to share a cute gingham skirt from Ann Taylor. I always love black and white and for some reason I am really attracted to gingham and checks this season as you could tell from this previous post. This skirt is on sale and you may have to check in the stores for it. I love the ruffles and smooth front; not to frilly but just enough fun. They call it the Micro Gingham Fiesta Skirt. I found another one at J Crew that is a similar gingham ruffle skirt. It is 30% off with code SHOPFORIT.
I like shopping at Ann Taylor because I can find great classic styles with a twist for really good prices. I really liked this yellow top with the gingham for some reason. I just kind of pull things that I think are fun and look great together from different areas. This top is really a cold shoulder I found out when I looked it up online but I like it as an off-the-shoulder. You know that I am a big fan of that style so you can show off some pretty skin without being to bare!! I decided to wear a slide with this skirt but you could also do a heel like this or this if you wanted to dress it up a bit. I wish I had seen this cute straw bag when I was in the store. Straw and bamboo bags are everywhere this season so this clutch would be a great addition to your closet. I may have to go back for it. I like to keep it cool and easy when dressing for summer. These separates give you some options and you could wear the top with white jeans or wear a white or black top with this skirt.
I hope you all have a wonderful week and enjoy the easy days of summer. Even though I still have to work in the summer the schedule still seems less stressful for some reason. Thanks for your patience with my week off and I hope to get back on schedule from now on. I love your comments and questions so keep me updated on your thoughts. XO Debby
