Flower Power

Happy Tuesday and actually I intended this for Monday. Surprise!!! I am finally getting caught up after our fun vacation to New York, work, my mom’s dental surgery and a recent overnight trip to Houston for a wedding. All of this was finished off last Sunday with a Father’s Day celebration and our San Francisco girl in town with her boyfriend. That was a special treat for all of us. I am officially ready for summer and some lazy days. I did successfully completely clean off my kitchen table and dining room table after going through piles of mail and papers accumulated during our travels. I really like empty spaces!! I guess my summer project can be my office upstairs!! Thank goodness for Alexa and a lot of music to set the mood!! Right now I’m listening to the soundtrack from My Best Friend’s Wedding!! Can you believe it is almost the 4th of July???!!! I feel like summer races by after that!! And soon we will have a little grandson added to our crazy bunch. You know I will keep you posted on that happy news!! Hope you are having some down time and maybe getting to travel.

Flowers are everywhere for Summer and moving into Fall Trends according to the fashion updates I have been reading. A print is always a great addition to your wardrobe because it is easy to add solid pieces for many varied looks!! Wardrobing at it’s best. I found this great Rebecca Taylor floral blouse at Saint Bernard, one of my favorite local boutiques located in Inwood Village. This blouse is lightweight and great for summer and I know I could easily work it into my fall wardrobe as well. The good news is that it is now on sale marked down from $275 to $192.90. That could be the benefit of my tardiness in getting this post out!! I apologize for not getting this out to you sooner. You may have to visit the store for better luck shopping.

I am sure you have already figured out that pink is a huge color for this season and I do not think it is going anywhere. I love the navy mixed with different shades of pink in this great blouse. I have put it with a really well fitting blush jean from Ecru. I am wearing a 4 here and am usually a 4 to 6 so it runs pretty true to size, maybe you can size down. I like to try my jeans on in person unless I know for sure they will fit. Earlier this season I was wondering if colored jeans were still in style and then I walked through Zara and there was quite a selection. Saint Bernard has a great jean department and I am impressed with the variety of brands  and selection of colors that they carry. I really like this blush tone as a fresh alternative to white. I am always  learning as I go in blog writing. This is actually called the Ecru Pant in Peony (even though it looks like a blush jean to me!) My nude  Pelle Moda sandals go with just about everything. They literally disappear!!

Let me just say that you absolutely cannot shop in Saint Bernard without noticing their fabulous selection of well priced and on trend accessories!!! I am a huge fan of mini bags and this JA Tassel Crossbody in navy with the tassel trim is just my fave. And it’s only $58!! I am wondering why I didn’t snap it up?? It lets you carry the essentials and have your hands free with that oh so wonderful tassel detail!! Too cute!! I have mentioned before that I am a huge fan of Parker & Hyde accessories. Husband and wife local design team that has a very creative way of utilizing fur. This cuff is so neutral in the gold acid wash and would go with absolutely everything in all seasons. They also make handbags in a million colors. These cuffs are a steal at $45. My earrings are by Bauble Bar. Saint Bernard has a new selection every time I visit the store. Such fun shopping!! I will let you know that it is sometimes hard to find the exact links to products online in these smaller stores. Saint Bernard actually has a great presence online but I cannot always give you what I am wearing. I try to show you something similar!!

I feel like I should show another way to wear these Ecru Peony Martin Pants before I close this blog post. Since my picks seem to be quickly going on sale, I’ll give you another option for this great fitting pant/jean. I featured this great top in my Accessories Galore blog post and I got lots of comments on the color. I also showed this multicolor Crosby Jannie Tunic with the best ever Ecru poppy short.  I love being able to wear something in many different ways. I thought you might like a little mix and match tip from Fashionomics!!

As always thank you for taking time out of your day to read my blog posts. I love your comments and questions and hope these fashion updates are helpful. I apologize that I got sidetracked by travel and life in general and didn’t write this post sooner while the Rebecca Taylor floral blouse was easier to locate. I also have to say in the last couple of photo shoots it has been drizzling rain and my hair just does not do well in humid weather. Very discouraging to say the least. I hate looking at pictures of myself but this hair…. UGH!! Have a safe and fun summer in spite of the weather!!  XO Debby
