Happy Tuesday, I hope you are having a great week so far. I wanted to share a few cute tops that I found at Ann Taylor. It seems like I had quite the shopping spree there recently. I tend to wear jeans a lot these days and it is really nice to have a great selection of easy tops to throw on. Embroidery has been such a huge trend the past few seasons that these have a little bit of a festive flare, great for travel and they could be worn with shorts, jeans, or a fun summer skirt. This is the season to relax and enjoy your family and some fun travel plans.
I am wearing a skinny cropped frayed jean also from Ann Taylor. It has cute detailing at the hem but it’s not too wild for someone like me. I’m loving these black suede mules and I end up wearing them with everything because I am a bit lazy and love to be able to slip my shoes on. The mule I am wearing is from Banana Republic (now on sale) and very comfy and there is also a cute version at Ann Taylor. I like that it has a bit of a heel. I think I wear my classic Wayfarer Ray-Bans almost every day. I wish mine were polarized because it is supposed to protect your eyes from something long term that I kind of can’t remember right now. I absolutely love my earrings from Harper Hallam. I saw Rebecca recently at Tootsie’s for one of her trunk shows and fell for these turquoise hoops. They are so light weight and I think that turquoise goes with just about everything. I can’t find them to link for you but you could ask Betsy at Tootsie’s to connect you with Rebecca. Her jewelry is not mass produced so you will enjoy unique styles. The story behind this turquoise clutch (which I carry a ton in the summer) is that it was a cosmetic bag I found in the gift shop at the 21c Museum Hotel in Bentonville, Arkansas. If you haven’t been to Bentonville to see The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art you need to plan a trip. It is only 5 hours from Dallas and really pretty drive. The 21c Hotel is it’s own museum, is walking distance from Crystal Bridges and you will have a fun relaxing visit. Lots of great restaurants on the square as well as the Walmart Museum and retro soda shop.
You guys are so sweet to read my ramblings and I got a little off track today talking about Bentonville, Arkansas. We are due for a visit because Tyler and Sara live about 20 minutes from there. We usually try to stay in a hotel so we don’t impose on the kids and we get a bit of a vacay too. I can’t believe that Hunter will be one July 13 and Sloan is over a month already. We are all going to Hunter’s BD party in Memphis and I have to tell you that I have never traveled with a baby. This former single mom did not take her kids on a plane till the youngest was about 2. I hope you are reading some good books, please share your faves, I need one. Hope you take some fun trips. Keep me posted on places I need to visit!! XO Debby
