Corduroy Gets a Fashion Makeover for Fall 2018

White Loeffler Randall bag and Koch corduroy blazer for Fall 2018

I hope you had a great weekend; we had family in town unexpectedly  and it was so much fun. I have been working with several clients getting their closets in order and now realize that I need to work on mine.

Not Your 70’s Corduroy

This time of year is kind of frustrating, at least here in Texas, because the temperature does not always cooperate with fall fashion. And yet I feel obligated to attempt to look like I am trying to keep up with the fall trends and not die of a heat stroke. Corduroy is on trend this season and I am in love with my new corduroy blazer from KochStanley Korshak carries the line in Dallas (also Canary). It’s a nice change in texture and kind of a blast from the past. It feels like fall but it’s not wool. (my white blazer sold out, available in cranberry)

How to Style Your Own Corduroy Fashion Makeover

I think I have stumbled onto a new trend that is kind of nostalgic!! Corduroy!! Doesn’t it bring back some memories?? I didn’t start out to write about corduroy but here I go. I did fall in love with the jacket I am wearing here the minute I saw it. The corduroy feels fresh and new and mixing it with other fabrics and styles keeps it looking on trend.

I read in Glamour, “Corduroy is to fall what linen is to summer.” This 70’s style fabric has been given a corduroy fashion makeover. Could this replace your jean jacket?? I love mixing it with these Veronica Beard jeans with rhinestone details. It’s all about shine this season. Can you imagine corduroy with rhinestones and silver shoes??? Now that’s fashion at it’s best!

Accessories Can Make An Outfit

I think I am guilty of having champaign taste on a beer budget, as you can tell from my recent posts featuring fashions from Stanley Korshak. It’s quite a luxury to study fashion at a fabulous specialty store that carries one of a kind items and things like this Loeffler Randall handbag (that I might not be able to afford, but still adore!). I love learning while browsing at stores like Stanley Korshak, and then replicating the trends within my budget.

I’m sure you know that white accessories have been a trend for several seasons, so here you go with a white bag for fall. I am also finding a lot of navy these days, like these Lizzie Fortunato Hoops in navy acrylic with agate. You also can’t forget to add some metallic silver into your accessories, like these comfy mules.
