Bold Spring Trends – Make a Statement with Red Tones, Florals & Accessories

Bold Spring Trends for 2019 make a statement

Happy Valentines Day!! Hope you spread some love around and feel much joy today. I am writing from Memphis where I am on grandma Dee Dee duty and having a blast. It’s hard living so far away from these kids and this is a luxury to have an extended stay. Just praying I don’t wear out my welcome!! February seems to be dreary and cold but don’t despair, Spring is coming. I posted a lot of red for Valentines Day and this continues to be one of the bold spring trends for 2019. Did you watch the Grammys? Well, red was the color of the night and Diana Ross was stunning in it. So be brave and wear red or any bold bright shade that suits your fancy this spring. Fashion packs a punch with florals that will get you noticed!! Don’t be shy.

I have mentioned before that I love shopping at Tootsies Dallas and always find great fashion at a variety of price points. The best part is that they carry unique items like my fabulous earrings (similar) that I cannot link for you because I can’t find them anywhere else. For a shopper that is awesome, for a blogger a bit frustrating because I love sharing my favorite things. Red tones are still on trend this season and can be anchored with white like my great bag and sunnies. I have to say a huge thank you to my stylist Betsy Gallagher for helping me choose the fashions for my series of Spring Trends blogs. Also Karin Turney helped my pull together all of the great accessories. Tootsies has the most amazing team of experienced stylists who can help you with everything you need. Or you can call me and I’ll help you shop for spring or any special occasion. My daughter-in-law Tara saved the day by helping me find some obscure accessories and florals that I couldn’t locate!! Wish I could hire her!!

Details, details, details. That’s my theory when dressing my clients. If you pay attention to the details like accessories you will elevate your look to a new level. Separates like this floral blazer from Veronica Beard and red pant can be worn so many different ways. You know I am a huge fan of  Veronica Beard and love my leopard blazer and consider it a classic staple in my wardrobe. Investment dressing means buying a few great pieces and wearing them many ways!!  Changing your accessories can make a huge difference. Tootsies has the best options I have ever seen in a boutique. Love these big and bold earrings!!! Also Tootsies has the best selection of camisoles like this mustard/ gold from CAMI NYC. These are a must in your wardrobe and Besty chose this color for a trendy neutral under this bright blazer. More about this mustard tone in an upcoming spring trends post.

I always forget to mention the lipstick I am wearing. Charlotte Tilury is one of my favorites and her lipsticks are amazing. I am hooked on red Lovebite lipstick and red Vixen gloss. Just a tip – when I wear red lipstick I always use a lip liner!! It keeps the color from bleeding and it stays on longer. Her products are so great and I am a huge fan of everything she does. You can find her cosmetics at Bergdorf’s, Nordstrom, and now Sephora

As always thanks so much for taking time to read my blogs and meanderings on fashion. I am planning to write a series on spring trends to keep you up to date. This has been a hectic few months for me with moving my mom to Dallas and juggling family and business. Hoping spring will let us all get back to a healthy normal if you know what I mean. Valentine’s Day is full of cheerful pink and red hearts and I hope you feel some love today. I’m in Memphis hugging on these babies. Love you all!! XO Debby
